1. The Online Harassment Prevention Training Tool
Preventing all forms of harassment at Lehigh is everyone’s responsibility. Lehigh’s online educational program, Preventing Harassment in the Workplace and on Campus, is available to faculty, staff and students. The online program is a convenient alternative for those employees who haven’t had a chance to attend an in-person training session led by the Human Resources (HR) workplace learning team.
The program consists of educational information plus 15 multiple-choice questions. Your answers are anonymous; no information about your specific results will be available to others. It should take approximately 30-45 minutes to complete the program. You can work at your own pace and even save your progress to return to at a later time.
The program addresses all forms of harassment including behavior based on age, color, disability, gender identity, genetic information, national or ethnic origin, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, and veteran status. As you move through the training program, you will see that many of the principles of proper conduct are consistent across all forms of harassment.
This educational program is not mandatory; however all employees are encouraged to participate. For more information, consult the frequently asked questions (FAQs).
2. Lehigh Employee Volunteer Database
As we all know from the past two Octobers, a crisis on campus can take many forms. From downed trees and power lines to cold, hungry undergrads, we have seen our fair share of challenges. And Lehigh staff and faculty have responded with open hearts.
No one knows when the next superstorm or snowmaggedon might arrive. Planning ahead is our best defense against the forces of nature or other unforeseen emergencies. That’s why the Crisis Management Team asked several of its members to work with Human Resources and LTS to create a volunteer database of staff and faculty.
Employees who are willing to help out can complete a simple sign-up form in Banner. By indicating your willingness to volunteer, the services you can provide, and the best way to reach you in a time of crisis, you will help build an ongoing database of potential volunteers to assist at a moment’s notice.
Can’t volunteer when the time comes? That’s OK. We realize a crisis may also affect you personally. Enrolling does not require you to volunteer.
Keep in mind that some employees are not eligible to volunteer. These include employees who are designated as essential staff. Read the FAQs on the enrollment page to ensure that you are eligible and that you understand the purpose of the volunteer database.
