Our annual Flexible Benefits Open Enrollment period began on November 7 and continues through November 28. This is your yearly chance to adjust your medical, life insurance and other benefits outside of a qualifying life event.
This year, because we’ve changed our medical insurance options, Open Enrollment is Mandatory. It’s essential that you complete your benefits enrollment.
Benefitfocus Portal Online
The new Benefitfocus portal and customer service center are up and running. Now it’s even easier to enroll, and the portal offers helpful tools for you to comparison shop for your insurance and make the best choice for you and your dependents.
Before you attempt to use Benefitfocus, make sure you are using the most up to date version of your preferred browser, and that you are allowing pop-ups.
Here’s how to access the Benefitfocus system:
1. Go to Inside Lehigh
2. Select Connect Lehigh
3. Use your Lehigh User ID and password to authenticate your identity
4. Select the “Employee” tab
5. Select “Lehigh Benefits” to be taken into the Benefitfocus portal
6. Complete your “To Do” list
7. Select “Enroll Now” and get started selecting your benefits.
Important Notes About the Benefitfocus System
Be aware that the Benefitfocus system will log you out automatically if you are not active in the system for five minutes. This may happen if you take more than five minutes to complete the Spousal Surcharge questionnaire because that takes place outside the Benefitfocus system.
If the system logs you out automatically, you must go back in and make sure you complete your enrollment. Do not assume you have finished.
If you have questions, you can call the benefits information specialists at Benefitfocus at 844-342-4002. They’re available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., eastern time.
