There are few changes to be aware of in the HR office, including a new staff member and some promotions.

First, welcome Fran Ohl, HR Assistant. Fran’s role focuses on the employment area. She is also part of the HR front office team, so if you visit HR, you will probably have a chance to say hello.

Most recently, Fran worked in the College of Education in a part time position. She says she’s delighted to be back to a full time position with frequent interaction with faculty and staff. Fran enjoys exercise, her grandchildren, and her pet Chihuahua Gidget.

Fran was hired to fill the position left vacant when Barb Reed was promoted to the role of HR Associate for Employment.  In this role, she manages and administers both exempt and nonexempt staff employment activities. She provides consultation and guidance with employment related issues and assists with the employment process to ensure quality matches for specific departments.

Lori Claudio, who had been HR Associate For Employment for eight years, has been promoted to HR Associate for Employment and Compensation.  In her new role, Lori manages the activities of the compensation and employment functional areas.  She oversees and manages all exempt and nonexempt employment process.  Lori also administers the salary administration programs for classified staff in accordance with the market referenced compensation programs.

Welcome Fran, and congratulations to Lori and Barb!
