That’s why we’re going to be taking a look at some of the hidden gems available to you as an employee at Lehigh throughout 2014. We don’t want them to be secrets after all!
If your resolution is to look for convenient ways to save money this year, our first offering might be just the ticket.
Eligible university employees (all salaried employees) can purchase personal insurance through payroll deduction from the Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. Personal insurance includes homeowner’s, auto, and renter’s insurance coverage.
The benefits of the program for Lehigh employees include:
- A 20 percent discount on auto and homeowner's rates
- A twelve-month payroll deduction plan
- Annual policies
- No down-payment to start a policy
- No finance charges
- Free roadside assistance.
If you want to find out whether switching to Liberty Mutual is a good option for you, it’s easy. Call Gerhard Wutti of Liberty Mutual at 800 706-0047, extension 51476. Gerhard will ask you for information about your current insurance and help you decide if you’d save money by switching.
If you do want to make the switch, you’ll need to complete some paperwork, including a salary deduction agreement for Human Resources, so we have the documentation we need to pay your insurance bill from you paycheck. Other than the salary deduction agreement form, you’ll deal directly with Liberty Mutual for all of your personal insurance needs.
Gerhard Wutti makes frequent visits to Lehigh’s campus to offer in-person advice and assistance. Here are the scheduled dates for 2014. All visits are held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and will be in the University Center Faculty Lounge except where noted:
