The Employee Relations Advisory Council is proud of its accomplishments at the end of 2012 and has a number of events planned for 2013.

Looking back, ERAC partnered with the Office of Multicultural Affairs in sponsoring a family in the Adopt A Family program.  For those unfamiliar with the program, offices and departments “adopt” a family and provide that family with needed items from their wish lists to celebrate the holiday season.  ERAC was proud to be part of this university-wide effort, which brings joy to dozens of families each December, and to do so in partnership with another office at the university.

During November, ERAC and LTS had a roaringly successful brown bag on leveraging mobile technology to improve productivity.  Given the enthusiastic response the session received, we’re looking to do a follow-up this spring on a date to be determined.

Additional brown bags will also follow, including a presentation from Admissions about the processes for recruiting and welcoming students to campus.

ERAC has spent much of this year’s start focusing on administrative and structural matters.  The Bylaws Committee examined and updated ERAC’s membership rules to ensure smoother transitions and continuity from year to year.  We are also reviewing relationships with various parts of the university and considering ways to fortify staff connections and relationships with departments and groups across campus.

In looking ahead to spring, as has become tradition, ERAC is sponsoring a group night at an Iron Pigs baseball game.  We invite all members of the Lehigh family to join us on Saturday, June 15th at 6:35 p.m. (the day before Father's Day).  Tickets are $10 and make excellent holiday and birthday gifts!  To purchase your ticket, please use the form on the ERAC website.

We wish you all best of luck with the start of 2013!
